How do I appeal an ad account that was disabled before any ads ran?

If no ad ever ran, the flag is almost always on something around the account: your profile, the payment method or the business portfolio. Say plainly in the appeal that no ads ran, then show who owns the account and that the payment details belong to that person or business.

Do this now

  1. Open Account Quality and check the profile and portfolio entries, not just the ad account.
  2. If one of those is restricted, start the review there first.
  3. Check that the payment method name matches your profile or business name.
  4. Check that your profile shows your real name and has two-factor on.
  5. Request a review on the ad account and say no ads ran.

What to write

"Ad account [ID] was created on [date] for [business] and was disabled before any ads ran. The payment method is in the name [name], which matches the account owner. We ask for a review."

YOUR QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Why would Meta disable an account with no ads?

Automated checks look at the profile, card and portfolio when an account is created. Any of those can trigger it.

Should I verify my identity first?

Only if Meta asks. If an ID request appears, complete it before the ad account review.

Who makes the final decision?

Meta does. No outside service can decide for Meta.
