Appealing when a second ad account in the same portfolio is restricted

When a second ad account in one business portfolio is restricted soon after the first, the two are usually linked by the same people, payment method or Page. Appeal the first one before the second, and in each appeal say plainly that both belong to the same business. Separate, matching explanations work better than two conflicting ones.

Why the second account follows

Steps

  1. Check whether the restriction is on the portfolio, the ad accounts or a person.
  2. Request a review on the earliest restriction first.
  3. Use the same facts in both appeals: business name, purpose of each account, who manages them.
  4. Do not create a third ad account while both are under review.

If the portfolio is restricted

A portfolio restriction blocks every ad account in it. Request a review on the portfolio before the individual accounts.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Can I move the ad account to another portfolio?

Moving accounts away from a restriction can be read as avoiding enforcement.

Should one person appeal both?

Yes, ideally an admin with two-factor on who has been in the portfolio longest.

Will clearing one clear both?

Sometimes, when they share a reason. Check each in Account Quality.
