Does posting on social media help an ad account appeal?

Usually not. Public posts that tag Meta are not a review channel, and the decision on an ad account comes through the review in Account Quality. Posting your ad account ID and business details in public also invites scammers who offer recovery in private messages. File the review, keep records, and keep your details private.

Why public posts rarely help

The risk of posting details

A public post with your ad account ID, spend and business name tells scammers who to target. Replies offering a fast restore through a contact at Meta are a red flag. Meta does not restore accounts through social media replies or private messages.

What to do instead

  1. File the review from Account Quality for the asset that is restricted.
  2. Use Meta's own support links from inside Business Support Home.
  3. Keep a log of dates, notices and replies.
  4. If someone messages you offering help, check our appeal mistakes guide before you reply.

Official sources

Meta changes its help pages, menus and forms often. Follow the wording on your own screen and the current Help Center. Ad Account Unban is an independent service and is not affiliated with Meta.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

I have seen people say tagging Meta worked. Is that true?

Some people say so after the fact, but it may have been the review that was already running. There is no published route that works this way.

Is it safe to share my ad account ID?

Share it only inside Meta's own forms and support chats, or with people you have chosen to work with.

Can a journalist or creator get my account back?

Public attention does not change Meta's rules. The review is still the route.
