Out-of-court dispute settlement for Meta decisions in the EU

In the EU, the Digital Services Act lets users take some Meta moderation decisions to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, such as Appeals Centre Europe, after using Meta's own appeal. It is not available for every decision, and the body's view is not binding on Meta, but it is a real extra route.

When it can help

Steps

  1. Finish the review request inside Meta first.
  2. Save the decision and any reference number.
  3. Check the body's site for which decisions it covers.
  4. Submit a short, factual summary with the evidence.
  5. Keep a copy of everything you send.

What to expect

The body looks at whether the decision fits Meta's own rules. Meta has to engage with it, but the outcome can still go either way.

Official sources

Meta changes its help pages, menus and forms often. Follow the wording on your own screen and the current Help Center. Ad Account Unban is an independent service and is not affiliated with Meta.
